Virtual E-mail Setup
Your Mail
We have been making some very big system changes to serve you better.
We now have a control panel, so that you can create unlimited email
accounts, yourself at no extra charge! As well, we have increased your web
space to 250 Mbytes, and we have a new mail system. Our new mail system has
POP3 and IMAP servers, as well as IMAP/POP before SMTP, and submit port 587, so that now you
can receive AND send mail from any computer or wireless device!!
First, you will
need to login to the mail administrator located at https://www.canadian.net/cgi-bin/qmailadmin/,
or our legacy system at http://whitepine.canadian.net,or http://redpine.canadian.net, using the information given below, and create unlimited email accounts for
employees, friends and family. You will then need to make some changes to
your mail settings in your computer. Your username to login to the shell
has NOT changed, however to receive your mail for your virtual domain, the
username format is user@yourdomain and the password is that which YOU
created in the mail administrator, or your @canadian.net email address and password. The incoming mail server is maple, red or whitepine.canadian.net
Your outgoing mail server should be set to your ISP's HOWEVER we do have
POP before SMTP, SMTP-Auth and a submit port 587 on the maple.canadian.net server only, which will allow you to send mail through our
servers.
